For those of you that don't want squished puppies on players that don't support adjusting of aspect ratio (Plex on a Roku for instance)

Download mkvmerge GUI http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/
On Input Tab, click Add and choose Puppy Bowl 10.avi
Under Tracks, chapters, and tags select the MPEG-4p2 line so its blue
Go to the Format Specific Options Tab halfway down the page
Click the dropdown next to Aspect Ratio and choose 16/9
Click "Start muxing"
You'll have an MKV that plays in the proper aspect ratio without any manual adjustments!
