Prokofiev - Sym #1 - Celibidache, Berlin Phil (1947) {Philidor; FLAC]

Here we have Prokofiev's First Symphony, in a polite but precise and airily delicate version by Celibidache. This is with the Berlin Philharmonic, with which he got along very well before airing his grievances to the press. As usual with Celi, it's all about live recordings made clandestinely. Until his last years, he hated the thought of recording, since it froze in time what was meant to be something which changed each time it was played, to fit the moment. Fortunately, pirates of the day didn't agree.
