Storyline

1917, the last months of legal prostitution in Storyville - New Orleans\' red-light district. Hattie, a prostitute at the elegant home of Madame Nell, and her 12-year-old daughter Violet are the only ones awake with photographer Ernest J. Bellocq comes by with his camera. He takes pictures of Hattie and he fascinates Violet. Over the next few months, Nell arranges for the auction of Violet\'s virginity, Hattie marries and goes to St. Louis leaving Violet behind, and Violet determines to marry Bellocq. Is this idyllic or is she just a girl wearing rouge, soon to return to childhood?

Good torrent, but slightly questionable content in the film. I mean the movie itself was not bad, but I didn't think it was insanely good either. As mentioned this is a VHS rip, so the quality is not too great. But I did enjoy this movie (mostly), so thanks for this uploader. :)

This is not a fake torrent but is a good torrent with the upload taken from the VHS version of the movie. As such, the video isn't as good as the DVD but it's still very watchable and this VHS is the full screen version with more of the bottom of the film is visible. Consequently, there are some things one gets to see here that are cut off in some of the scenes from the DVD version. Thanks for the upload.
