Plot :

After Jim (Julian McMahon) surprises his wife Linda Hanson (Sandra Bullock) with a new house, they have two daughters, Megan (Shyann McClure) and Bridgette (Courtney Taylor Burness). While Jim is away on a business trip, Linda is left to take care of the girls.

Linda talks with her friend Annie (Nia Long), who asks how Linda and Jim are, since their relationship had gotten into a rut. Then Linda goes through various chores. When she checks the answering machine there is a message from Jim, and he says that he meant everything he said in front of the kids the other night and he wants her to know that he was sincere. He spots a call waiting on his phone and mutters "Is that you?" before hanging up. Linda calls him back and leaves a message.

The doorbell rings and Linda opens the door to Sheriff Reilly (Marc Macaulay), who tells Linda that her husband died in a car accident on the previous...

Trama :

Linda Hanson sta trascorrendo la sua giornata tipica di casalinga quando apprende da un agente di polizia che suo marito Jim, via per lavoro, è morto in un incidente d'auto. Linda è sconvolta, ma quando si risveglia il giorno dopo scopre che Jim è vivo e non è ancora partito per lavoro. Confusa, Linda pensa che si sia trattato di un sogno, ma quando l'indomani si risveglia di nuovo, si trova nel bel mezzo del funerale di Jim. Sempre più sconvolta e sull'orlo della pazzia, Linda capisce che sta vivendo la settimana non in ordine cronologico, e sapendo ciò che accadrà, forse può fare qualcosa per salvare la vita del marito.
