TRAMA:

Negli anni '80 Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), Will Cooper (Kevin James), Ludlow Lamonsoff (Josh Gad) e Eddie "The Fire Blaster" Plant (Peter Dinklage) erano ragazzi che, nelle sale giochi, salvavano il mondo, migliaia di volte, a 25 centesimi a partita. Ora dovranno farlo nella realtà! In Pixels alieni intergalattici fraintendono un filmato diffuso con alcuni personaggi dei classici videogames; interpretando le loro parole come una dichiarazione di guerra contro di loro, decidono di attaccare la Terra usando i giochi come modelli per i loro assalti. Il Presidente Will Cooper (Kevin James) si rivolge al suo amico d’infanzia Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler) per salvare il mondo dalla distruzione ad opera di Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Centipede e Space Invaders. Il colonnello Violet Van Patten (Michelle Monaghan) si unirà alla squadra come specialista di armi, uniche in grado di sconfiggere gli alieni.

STORYLINE:

Sam Brenner, Will Cooper, Ludlow Lamonsoff, and Eddie "The Fire Blaster" Plant all played classic arcade video games as teenagers. But now they have to use their skills to try to save the world from aliens. The aliens watched video feeds that they thought was a declaration of war. So they send down the classic arcade games to destroy earth. They also get help from a military specialist. They have three lives and if all three get used then earth will be destroyed, and every time they lose a live the aliens take someone's life. Who will win, us or the aliens? It's an all-out battle to save our planet and everyone on it.
