although he tried to be a fair writer, but it's obvious he was a greek fanatic, as he describe Herodotus writings is just occasionally prejudice and inaccurate, while recent scholars consider his writings biased and inaccurate.
there are lot's of inaccurate or even wrong info in book, e.g. about slavery. Slavery was forbidden in Persian empire but very common in greek and later in roman empire, but the author several time said about threat of becoming slave for Persians!\n
however this book worth reading and there are lots of valuable info in that too.
