Default game language is in Italian. To set English go to Dead Island/Di/Data/Game.ini and change the language to "EN" from "IT", for XP and Win7. Works like a charm!!

Game comes with Browse2Save hijack (changes your default browser start page and search engine, and installs .dll file). Not terribly hard to defeat, but pretty freakin' lame.
