Not to mention the tension within the despot himself, his fears and phobias, the obsession he'd developed with the sexually-dominating Howard women. The Last of Days chronicles the fascinating disintegration of this King, the murderous schemes that encircled him, and the emergence of the ruthless, blood-smattered political order that followed his death. About The Author Dr. Paul Doherty was born in Middlesbrough (North-East England) in 1946. He studied for the Catholic priesthood. In 1967, he went to Liverpool University where he met his wife Carla Lynn Corbitt. Paul was appointed as Headmaster to Trinity Catholic School, Woodford Green, Essex, in September 1981. Paul’s other incarnation is as a novelist and has written nearly 100 books and has published a series of outstanding historical mysteries set in the Middle Ages, Classical Greece, Ancient Egypt and elsewhere. He has been published under several pseudonyms: C. L. Grace, Paul Harding, Michael Clynes, Ann Dukthas and Anna Apostolou but now writes only under his own name. Paul lectures for a number of organisations, particularly on historical mysteries, many of which later feature in his writings. A born speaker and trained lecturer Paul loves to tell stories and “bring history to life.” About The Reader Andrew Wincott has worked with many theatre companies throughout the UK, and his leading roles include Tartuffe, Jane Eyre and Anna Karenina. He also played Jack in The Rivals for Vienna's English Theatre.
