Where are you trying to uninstall it? First trying going Control Panel>Uninstall Programs>The Sims 3: Deluxe Edition. But the way I always do it is go to wherever your Sims 3:Deluxe Edition and it should say ''eauninstaller'' and use that to uninstall it. Note that there will still be a folder in your My Documents with your saves and other stuff.
