Patanjali's Yoga Sutras with Vyasa's commentary and Vachaspati Mishra's gloss (Recommended) - Rama Prasad trans (SCAN) (337p) [Anomolous].pdf (Size: 34.72 MB)
Description
Paperback: 315 pages Publisher: Coronet Books; 2 edition (December 16, 2002) Language: English ISBN-10: 8121509645 ISBN-13: 978-8121509640 This is one of the best Yoga Sutra translations available, including the Sanskrit, transliteration, translation, and first two recorded commentaries (Vyasa and Vacaspati Misra). It is absent any scholarly analysis, which is a big plus in my opinion, and makes this version more suited for practitioners of yoga. The only negative would be the Vacaspati's gloss of Vyasa's commentary is rendered in very small typeface. Makes for a very good companion to Swami Hariharananda Aranya's rendering of the Sutras - these two volumes together are the only texts any practitioner of Yoga would ever need to complement their personal practice.
