Disk Partitioning
PartedMagic has the tools to get the job done. With the Partition Editor you can re-size, copy, and move partitions. You can grow or shrink your C: drive. Create space for new operating systems. Attempt data rescue from lost partitions.

Disk Cloning
Clone a computer's entire disk or a single partition. The cloned data could be saved as an image-file or as a duplicated copy of the data. It is the original, untempered .iso, directly from the developers site. There was no hash on the developers site, so there is nothing you could compare your checksum to in order to check if it is genuine. Anyway, my SHA256 is:

You're welcome. If I have to spend money on a GPL Linux distro, then no one else should have to. They're just milking the work of others. Maybe someone else chips in the next time they do a new release.
If you want it bootable, you can either burn it normally to a CD with your favorite burning program, or follow the instructions on http://partedmagic.com/creating-the-liveusb/ to create a USB stick which works on Linux and Windows. I prefer the latter as you can backup disk images directly to the USB stick if you use a large enough stick.
