Doesn't work on Mavrics

i updated to the latest version of Parallel Desktop, and the everything went smoothly. the only thing i encounter is, when it reaches the black window with text in it, it says There is no operating system installed in this virtual machine. Please insert an operating system installation CD into the optical drive of your Mac and restart the virtual machine. what can i do about it?

On that step just click on the red button to close to window, and proceed with installation.

the serial number doesn't work anymore! i've tried everything (followed every step) but the end result is that the serial number has been used.
