TO ACTIVATE:
1. Disconnect Internet connection and force quit all instances of Parallels 10.
2. Re-run Parallels 10
3. On the Trial pop-up, click enter activation key.
4. Type any combo of letters and numbers, once you see a green check, press activate or continue.
5. It will load and if it asks you to continue as trial or activate again, DO STEP 4 AGAIN!!
6. Once all activated and loaded, FORCE QUIT ALL INSTANCES OF PARALLELS 10.
7. Go>Go To Folder ( Or, SHIFT+COMMAND+G) /Library/Preferences/Parallels/licenses.xml AND MOVE TO TRASH ( It should already be highlighted or selected ) ( Permission must be given, enter admin password. )
8. Empty Trash to be safe, Run Parallels 10, no trials window should pop up.
9.(optimal) restart mac and run Parallels 10 again to ensure no trial boxes appear, if none do, you've successfully activated your copy.
10. Once loaded back up, open Parallels Preferences, under general CHECK FOR UPDATES:NEVER
UNTICK: DOWNLOAD UPDATES AUTOMATICALLY, then Lock. =D

EDIT: After reading some comments, if your STILL having problems, delete whatever copy of parallels you currently have installed, simply the files could be interfering with each other in some way. Send all of previous versions to trash, empty to be safe, as anon posted, this is NOT the latest version, so if asked to "UPDATE" say NO. ^^
EDIT2: Still having activation troubles? Try the steps in this order. Steps: 7, empty trash. Go back to steps 1-10. Hope this helps.
Yes you'll need to have a copy of Windows 7 or 8, which ever OS you want, I recommend using the search bar to search Windows 7, and get the most popular, there's instructions with the torrent and also in the comments section. GL
