This is a superb text and reference for any student of paediatric medicine - whether doctor, nurse or allied health professional. Yes, it is an Australian book, but bearing in mind that British-trained doctors, nurses and AHPs work in Oz, and Aussie doctors, nurses and AHPs work here in the UK, you know that pretty much everything is going to be transferable, apart from any oddities in the processes of the differing health services. The medical information is universal - and it is absolutely jam-packed into this little book. The writing is tiny! But what that means is that it is very comprehensive. And the contributors are experts in their field.
There are 29 chapters in the book. It is not divided up into sections, it just goes for it. Within each chapter is an amazing amount of in-depth, comprehensive detail on diagnosis and treatment, supported by diagrams, tables and lists. It is brilliant. It really is an excellent resource for any student or new graduate.
