Summary:
Orange and Lemons is a Filipino pop rock band formed in 2003. The band name "Oranges and Lemons" was initially recommended by a former member of the group. Apparently the band was not aware at that time that the name was actually derived from a British nursery rhyme and a title of an album by the British band "XTC". So they changed it to "Orange and Lemons".

Orange and Lemons is a defunct group, but they were one of the most popular Filipino crossover indie pop/rock band during their active years. The band produced three successful albums: Love in the Land of Rubber Shoes and Dirty Ice Cream -December of 2003, Strike Whilst the Iron is Hot -May of 2005, Moonlane Gardens -June of 2007.

Thus, in a short period of time Orange and Lemons became a success, touring the country and doing solo concerts in gymnasiums and large venues all over the Philippines. They also conquered the airwaves with singles after singles overlapping each other and regularly performed on television. Orange and Lemons was ultimately recognized as the Best New Artist -2004 NU Rock Awards; Artist of the Year -2005 NU Rock Awards; Album of the Year (Moonlane Gardens) -2007 NU Rock Awards.
