Gli abitanti cadono nella disperazione per il sacrilego oltraggio subìto. Ting, un giovane del piccolo paese, conoscitore grazie al Monaco Pra Kru dell'arte del Muay Thai (o meglio Muay Boran, una versione più antica), si offre volontario per recuperarla. Arrivato in città, rintraccia il figlio del suo capovillaggio, George (che al paese d'origine si chiamava "Humlae") chiedendogli aiuto, ma questi inizialmente rifiuta e lo deruba, perdendo poi i suoi soldi in una scommessa. È indebitato con il capo di una banda di malviventi e vive di espedienti, mettendo a segno qualche truffa qua e là.
