Neil Morrissey's Risky Business Part 1 of 3 Tuesday, 28th October 2008 10:00pm to 11:05pm (48 mins) Channel 4 Neil Morrissey's Risky Business kickes off with the actor and his chum Richard Fox visiting the Czech Republic to take a bath in beer, a sequence that had absolutely nothing to do with research for their new enterprise and everything to do with telly. It's one of those kind of shows where the cameras are notionally tagging along to see how an entrepreneurial adventure turns out but where you know full well that the adventure would never have got off the ground in the first place if it hadn't come in a banded pack with a Channel 4 commission. Morrissey and his mate plan to buy a pub, brew their own beer and take it to market; and launching this business at a time when four pubs a day are closing. They have, we're told, just six months to pull off this task before Morrissey has to take on a big acting job, which rather glosses over the fact that this is an acting job as well. It's amiable enough, and I'm sure that they, or Channel 4, can afford to lose the money. They certainly weren't approaching the matter with any over-hysterical professionalism, adopting their beer recipe from the very first batch of home brew they made and then getting so drunk while carrying out consumer testing that they temporarily mislaid the only keg they have. They occasionally took advice from professionals, such as Paul Theakston of the hallowed Black Sheep Brewery, but only in order to bat it aside. "It's basically hot gas compressed by your lungs through your vocal cords," was Morrissey's scornful response to one friendly warning about the scale of their challenge. He then demonstrated his ability to drink a pint while standing on his head, a skill that mysteriously doesn't feature on the Harvard Business School curriculum.=== File Information === File Name: Neil Morrissey's Risky Business - Part 1 of 3 (28th October 2008).avi Duration: 00:48:01 (72,020 fr) File Size: 379 MB (or 388,866 KB or 398,198,784 bytes) bytes === Video Information === Video Codec Name: XviD Video Bitrate: 965 kb/s Bits / Pixel: 0.176 bits/pixel Resolution: 624x352 (1.77:1) [=39:22] Frames Per Second: 25.000 fps === Audio Information === Audio Codec: 0x0055(MP3) ID'd as MPEG-1 Layer 3 Audio Bitrate: 132 kb/s (66/ch, stereo) VBR LAME3.90 =============================== Some of the other rather spiffing shows available now and always if you signup free @ www.TheBox.bz: Comedy: The Office, Peep Show, Coupling, Chef, Fawlty Towers, Only Fools and Horses, The IT Crowd, Brass Eye, Nathan Barley, Young Ones, Monty Python, Blackadder, Alan Partridge, Father Ted, Coupling, Little Britain, Mr Bean, Extras, Green Wing, Mighty Boosh Drama: Casualty, Holby City, The Bill, Hustle, Skins, Shameless, Ashes To Ashes Entertainment: Faking It, Derren Brown, Scrapheap Challenge, Strictly Come Dancing, Wife Swap Game/Quiz Shows: Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Have I Got News For You, Deal Or No Deal (UK), Q.I.
