Lietuva krepšinio šalis ir tuo niekas neabejoja, na bent jau pačioje Lietuvoje. Kad pas mus itin populiari „NBA“ žaidimų serija – tuo labiau esam tikri. Todėl nors ir kiekvienais metais išvysdami po naują skaičiuką prie užrašo „NBA“, mes vistiek imame jį į rankas, plėšiame pakuotę ir sustingusiomis nuo laimės rankomis laikome dėžutę priešais save.

Šiais metais mes ir vėl turime proga patirtį visa tai iš eilės. Galbūt daugelis asmeninių kompiuterių savininkų ir neatleis man, tačiau šįkart kalbėsiu labiau iš konsolių pusių, nes priežastis labai paprasta – negavom mes tos PC versijos. Skubu nudžiuginti senukų „PS2“ ir „Xbox“ savininkus, „NBA Live 07“ ant šių konsolių žaidžiasi nepalyginamai geriau, nei ant „Xbox 360“. Ironiška, bet naujos kartos žaidimai nelabai noriai keliasi po „Xbox 360“ sparnu.

Žaidime visi senieji režimai, bandyti dar „06“ laikais, išliko. Galėsime rinktis iš greito žaidimo, „dynasty“ režimo, atkrintamųjų varžybų, visų žvaigždžių savaitgalio, „laisvojo stiliaus“, vienas prieš vieną, praktikos ir „slam dunk“ mokyklos. Visos funkcijos buvusios šiuose režimuose išliko, o visų žvaigždžių savaitgalyje mūsų lauks jau žinomi dalykai, kaip antai naujokų varžybos, tritaškių konkursas, dėjimų konkursas ir žinoma visų žvaigždžių varžybos.

„Dynasty“ režimas jus nukels į pagrindinio menedžerio vietą tos komandos, kurią pasirinksite. Iš pradžių jums teks pasisamdyti trenerio asistentus, fizinio rengimo trenerius, savo paties asistentus ir skautus, bei organizuoti vasaros stovyklą, kurioje teks nustatyti komandos treniravimosi prioritetus. Vykstant rungtynių sezonui, reikės labai įdėmiai stebėti ne tik komandos pasiruošimo lygį, nuotaikas, bei ir nuovargį. Kadangi per daug nuvargę žaidėjai gali pasirodyti gerokai prasčiau per rungtynes, nei įprastai. Taip pat padedami miklių skautų, sezono metu galėsite rasti ir pastiprinimo savo komandai.

Kalbant apie žaidėjus, tai jau senesnėje versijoje „EA“ norėjo aiškiai nubrėžti ribą tarp gero ir vidutinio žaidėjo ir tas buvo padarytas sukūrus „super žaidėjo“ koncepciją. Šiais metais ji buvo gerokai išplėsta. Dabar „super žaidėjai“ turės vieną ar kelis specialiuosius sugebėjimus, tokius kaip „aukštas šuolis“, kuris leis gerai „įkrauti“ į krepšį, „žaidimo kūrėjas“, suteiks galimybę atiduoti ypač gerus pasus ir panašiai. Pavyzdžiui, žaidėjai turintys gynybinius sugebėjimus atlikinės labai didelį darbą gynyboje, bei turės kelis papildomus gynybos elementai, skirtingai nuo kitų žaidėjų. Visie šie sugebėjimai turės tris skirtingus sudėtingumo lygius, kurių kiekvieną įvykdyti bus vis sunkiau.

Pats valdymas žaidime yra tikrai lengvas ir intuityvus, todėl jau po kelių bandomųjų mačų nereiks net skaityti nieko papildomai. Iš didesnių patobulinimų šioje srityje vertėtų išskirti tai, jog dabar dėjimas ir įridenimas į krepšį atliekamas dviem skirtingais mygtukais, o ne tuo pačiu, kaip anksčiau. Turėtų atrodyti, jog tai įneš papildomo nervingumo ir galimo nesėkmingo puolimo metu, tačiau viską į savas vėžes sustato funkcija, jog jei pasirinktas dėjimas ir jį įvykdyti nėra galimybės, tai kompiuteris automatiškai pakeičia metimą į įridenimą.
