Some people have noticed a lower than expected quality on my Mythbusters encodes. I agree they don't look great, but neither do the sources (rarbg source).

A quality compare. I think the web source and all sources of Mythbusters might look like this. Here is a compare of the Source 1.7g vs my 300mb encode. Decide if the poor quality is my encode.

I do not feel that I deserve down-vote for poor video when the source looks like it does and my encode is very close. This is what Mythbusters is putting up.
I think they look great given the file size. I zoomed in on the pics comparing many areas and I only see a very minor drop, in percentage I'd say maybe 3-5%. You are right the source is not great to start with. Given the file size I'll take your encodes every time.
