Musica Reservata: Secret Music for Albrecht V composed by Orlando di Lasso. Performed by Profeti della Quinta and Dolce Risonanza under the direction of Florian Wieninger. Ripped, scanned, edited, and released by Spica-Starhome.  Duke Albrecht V of Bavaria commissioned Orlando di Lasso, the head of his court chapel in Munich, to compose musical settings of the Penitential Psalms for instruments and voice. The cover of the package for this CD features a painting by Hans Mielich entitled "Albrecht V, Duke of Bavaria, and his Court chapel". Inside, the cover of the CD brochure shows the vocal group Profeti della Quinta and the instrumental group Dolce Risonanza arranged as in the painting, except they aren't in period costumes. Commentary for the CD by Florian Wieninger and Bernard Rainer appears in English (translation by David Babcock), French (translated by Sylvie Coquillat), and the original German. The original Latin text of the psalms is included alongside English translations. The music was recorded in Austria by a German company. The CD was manufactured in the Netherlands.
