torrent worked perfect. quality is perfect considering it is a VHS recording. most of the audio and video are surprisingly clear. occasional lines runnin up the screen from the taping or re-taping probably. for the audio it sounded like some of the people who were recording the show was using the cable box(probably the Sprucer..haha i feel old) to adjust the sound and you can hear the sound change on the recording. doesn't happen too much and not on most episodes.
mtv(you know, the channel that used to be music television with a few cool shows and is now a dumpster for "reality" shows that were turned down by every other channel) never released a DVD of the complete seasons; only a "best of" DVD which is comprised of about a tenth of what the show put out. The only way I know of getting the whole show is from OVERKILL(i think that the up-loaders handle). there is another torrent, 5.? gigs, from the same guy, with all three seasons.\n
only issue I found is that on a few of the episodes, if you try to skip forward or back, the sound cuts off and doesn't come back on unless you restart the show. the rarity of these shows and the effort I assume OVERKILL put into tracking them all down far outweighs that minor issue. sorry I am rambling but I cannot begin to express my appreciation for all the people who put the episodes out there and especially OVERKILL for puttin em all together.\n
I recorded all the episodes on VHS when I was 17-19ish (38 now) when it first came out and lost it at some point. about 10-15 yrs ago I was feeling nostalgic and went to watch it. it was gone and have no idea how or where.\n
I have literally been looking for it in the same places hoping it would appear and searching online(probably would have found them before now if I wasn't computer illiterate) for about 10-15 years; coming across this torrent definitely helped fill a void in my heart.\n
I know it seems dramatic but most of my close friends from childhood and brother who i used to watch this with are gone and every episode, even the few commercials that weren't cut, brings back a different memory. I had no idea how much this meant to me until i heard the first "dadub-dub-dub". thank you
