SLI Canadian Pacific Rail Mactier Evolution Trainsets

By the beginning of the second decade of this millennia, the Canadian Pacific Railway was undergoing a transformation. The SD40-2 and AC4400CW locomotives which had dominated the mainline freight trains were giving way to a new generation, General Electric’s ES44AC locomotives. CP has purchased almost 300 of these units since 2005, and their improved fuel economy and emissions have made them the locomotive of choice to lead the majority of mainline assignments.

Canadian Pacific’s Mactier Subdivision runs for 127 miles from West Toronto to Mactier Ontario. It is CP’s main transcontinental line from Toronto to points west, so the traffic is a variety of general merchandise, plenty of intermodal, and the occasional unit train. The route was developed by Kenneth Shannon and Ted Kocyla.

This expansion for the CP Mactier Route includes a roster of 6 ES44AC locomotives, 3 from the 8800 series, and 3 from the most recent order, 8900-9300 series. Also included with this product is a CP Angus snowplow with cab view and animated wings, the Barrie-Collingwood Railway GP9 #1001, and four new activities.

Please Note: The CPR Mactier Route, which may be downloaded for free, and the Trains and Activities pack (included when available) must be installed for this product to work with the CPR Mactier route. The route, as well as the Trains and Activities pack, are available on our Route Product page.

Includes CP Mactier Trainsets Patch 1.1 and the following fixes:

CEFX AC4400 #1015: the "A" ace file has had the stiffened panel and intake added above and near the AC Inverter Panel.

CPR SD40-2 #5688: the "A" ace has had the dual flag reversed so that the US flag is to the left.

CPR AC4400 #8563, 9527 & #9680: on the "B" ace files the AC inverter panel and other parts have been corrected and
on the "A" ace file has had the stiffened panel and intake added above and near the AC Inverter Panel.

CPR AC4400 #9757 & #9802: on the "A" ace file has had the stiffened panel and intake added above and near the AC Inverter Panel
and some changes made to the labelling under the conductors cab

CPR AC4400 #9802: A freight animation has been added to make the twin rear light that this unit has, the two eng files for the engine
are enclosed with the correct Freight Animation line added and the Lighting section has been redone and includes the code for the
new rear light.

Slurry Tank Car NATX #160050 has had the extra line under the logo removed.

all of these changes are based on photographs of the actual engines.
