Megadeth is an American thrash metal band led by founder, frontman, guitarist, and songwriter Dave Mustaine. Formed in 1983 following Mustaine\'s departure from Metallica, the band has since released eleven studio albums, six live albums, two EPs, and two compilations.

Rude Awakening (DVD) is a live recording of a 2001 Megadeth concert. The show that is featured is from an Arizona concert, whereas the original idea was it to be filmed in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The latter was cancelled due to the 9/11 attacks.
