For the first time in MasterChef Australia history, the competition jumps straight into the Top 22 stage, with some of the best amateur cooks from across the country mixing it up in a high-pressure test of know-how and nerve.

Back in Melbourne, the contestants are split in to two teams and must prepare a lunchtime menu for city based office workers composed of dishes from either Mexico or China. The worst performing team goes in to the elimination challenge.
