Kill, Baby, Kill is a 1966 Italian horror film
by director Mario Bava. Slant Magazine called
it "arguably Bava's greatest achievement",
giving it four stars out of a possible four. In
2015, Time Out conducted a poll with several
authors, directors, actors and critics who have
worked within the horror genre to vote for
their top horror films. Kill, Baby... Kill! was
ranked number 56 on the list of the top 100
horror films of all time.

Kill, Baby, Kill was director Mario Bava's
return to gothic horror. The film was funded by
the small Italian company F.U.L. Film. According
to Bava, the film was shot in 12 days.

The exterior scenes were filmed on location in
the medieval town Calcata.

STORY:

Dr. Eswai is called by Inspector Kruger to a
small village to perform an autopsy on a
woman who has died under suspicious
circumstances. Despite help from Ruth, the
village witch, Kruger is killed and it is
revealed that the dead woman, as well as other
villagers, have been killed by the ghost of
Melissa, a young girl who, fed by the hatred
of her grieving mother, Baroness Graps, exacts
her revenge on them. Dr. Eswai, along with
Monica, a local nurse, are lured into a
fateful confrontation at the Villa Graps.
