Man With a Movie Camera (Dziga Vertov, 1929)

Original name: Chelovek s kino-apparatom

This playful film is at once a documentary of a day in the life of the Soviet Union, a documentary of the filming of said documentary, and a depiction of an audience watching the film. Even the editing of the film is documented. We often see the cameraman who is purportedly making the film, but we rarely, if ever, see any of the footage he seems to be in the act of shooting.

This release has proper framerate and includes the three most popular scores:
1. The Cinematic Orchestra
2. Michael Nyman
3. and the very rare Alloy Orchestra*

*The Alloy Orchestra score has a slightly different duration time than the video track.
In order to synchronise the sound with the picture,
the soundtrack must be started 1 minute and 24 seconds earlier than the video track.
