TRAMA:

Chicago: Josie Geller è un'intelligente, goffa e insicura redattrice del "Chicago Sun Times", che aspira a diventare giornalista, nonostante il suo capo Gus non la ritenga ancora all'altezza. Un giorno, durante una riunione di redazione, le viene chiesto di infiltrarsi in un liceo come una studentessa qualsiasi, allo scopo di documentare vita e modi delle nuove generazioni. Ma in Josie riaffiorano le umiliazioni subite nell'adolescenza, in particolare il soprannome Josie Buzzicozza, inventato da suo fratello Rob. La ragazza non aveva amici, era oggetto di continui scherzi e all'età di venticinque anni non ha ancora baciato un ragazzo. Josie, inizialmente incapace di adattarsi alla vita di liceo, riesce a farsi amica di Aldys, a farsi notare per la sua intelligenza dal professore di letteratura e lentamente a diventare popolare, fino a essere invitata al ballo studentesco, organizzato da lei stessa, dal ragazzo più carino e popolare della scuola. Un terribile scherzo ai danni di Aldys la spinge però a rivelare la sua identità e a scrivere un articolo che è piuttosto uno sfogo sulla propria vita, unito alla richiesta, rivolta al professor Coulson, di ricevere il suo primo vero bacio.

STORYLINE:

Chicago Sun Times copy editor Josie Gellar (25), who was desperate to graduate from perfectionist copy editor to reporter, gets her chance when the goody owner orders the editor to cover the high-school scene by undercover. Josie, who was a frustrated, ridiculed nerd, gets a popular make-over from her drop-out, naturally funny brother Rob Geller. Both siblings find love and joys of youth again. But in Josie's case, it's sensitive bachelor teacher Sam Coulson, who enjoys sophisticated conversation. As the publication deadline approaches, the price of blowing their cover seems ever more daunting, yet inevitable unless she sacrifices her career.
