Mahler: Symphony No. 5 in C sharp minor [AIFF LOSSLESS]

The Mahler recordings of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra were repeatedly considered one of the best over the years by the international press and crowned with praise and prestigious awards (among others with the “Internationaler Schallplattenpreis Toblacher Komponierhäuschen“ in 2009 or the MIDEM Classical Award 2010). The recordings have been released by the label TUDOR, which looks back at 15 of fruitful partnership with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra: Almost 50 recordings of the “bambergians“ were published by the Swiss label. They were made in cooperation with Bayerischer Rundfunk, with whom the Bamberg Symphony maintains close cooperation without interruption since the 1950s.

With their Mahler cycle, the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra has become firmly established as Mahler Orchestra: "In fact, we have never again heard Mahler, since Bruno Walter himself, in such overflowing elegance“, Maurizio Modugno wrote in Musica 2011. And Christopher Brown says in the music magazine Rondo: "This is a Mahler-revelation.“
