Description & Plot


After the success of the first Macross Frontier film, the creative team gives the saga a spectacular sendoff with The Wings of Goodbye. A direct continuation of The False Songstress, The Wings of Goodbye offers an original story that takes place three months after the events of the first film. The Macross Frontier fleet continues its battle against alien force Vajra, with the vocal powers of songstresses Sheryl and Ranka being used as potentially lethal weapons against the enemy. As young pilot Alto realizes that he has to put an end to the romantic triangle between him and the two songstresses, the final battle between the Macross Frontier fleet and Vajra looms increasingly closer. Dubbed as the epic conclusion of Macross Frontier series, The Wings of Goodbye proved to be an even bigger box office success than its predecessor at the Japanese box office.




AD 2059 - a human space colony makes a voyage to a new world to replace the earth for people.
