With the head and teeth of a wolf, the stripes of a tiger, the ability to run like a hyena or hop like a wallaby, the Thylacine was one of the strangest creatures to have graced the earth. To the farmers colonizing Tasmania however it was simply a sheep killer with a government bounty on it's head. With it's brilliant pink head, once seen the exotic Pink Headed duck was never forgotten. Particularly not by the trophy hungry colonial hunters who plundered the reed beds during the expansion of the British Empire into India.
