Description

I have died for the first time in Lords of the Fallen at the end of forty-five minutes. It's a bit surprising for a game that does not have cached heavily inspired by the ultra-difficult series Dark Souls, but the fight that led me to this first death showed me a title just as concerned by procuring us pleasure, as one of us avoid suffering. Sometimes he sacrifice too much on the altar of accessibility, but usually catches up with an enticing reward system linked to the risks that suits many playing styles, and pleasure (from the arcade) it provides when one indulges in hack-and-slash in order to loot.
The conventional history of Lords of the Fallen Harkyn follows the adventures of a surly one criminal released from prison to save the world against the attack interdimensional monsters, appointed Rhogars. It is however never informed us about the nature of his crimes, and the game introduced many times other characters with still minimal background. Even the great villain who's behind it appears that about three minutes on screen. When the game makes a shocking twist in the late seventeen hours (about) his game story mode, then it is very difficult to be concerned about the characters involved.
The story is an ambitious, but never manages to really convince. She scrap its cinematic decisions as as cutting the infected arm of a monk or let it rot, but their scope seems minimal, apart from the fact alter the final scene which followed the fall of the last boss. The audio clips on the traditions of Keystone, which you expect scattered here and there on parchment, are much more interesting. They help the world Harkyn to take life, that the main characters have failed to do.
The world in question is generally a side graphics success, even if outside the long introductory ride in the native region of Rhogars he composed only of the usual crumbling castles and snow-capped peaks. (I think this would have been much more interesting if we could find in the world of Rhogars anything other than, well ... other crumbling castles and other snowy peaks.) Overall, equipment m has much more impressed that the landscape; corpulent characters and large artillery to look straight out of a comic book, are more of a "Let's go kick some asses! "As" Prepare to die! ".
It is this feeling does not spoil the joy of battle. In Lords of the Fallen, it is essential to block attacks and perform somersaults to get out of reach, at least for the first few hours of play. Harkyn meeting fascinating creatures during his journey, as vaguely inspired forms the myth of Cthulhu, who breathe fire, or giant spiders, they are more inclined to the venom. These enemies are clearly not weak, but they never reach the level of difficulty that Dark Souls fans are used to overcome. In fact, during the first exploration mandatory, before the New Game + mode is unlocked, the difficulty of dating seems to have been dosed for people who have fled Dark Souls and its hardcore side.
Lords of the Fallen focuses more on the fun side, drawing inspiration and quality of arcade games, and adds to this a loot system to Diablo, which shows weapons and more powerful equipment on the defeated enemies and in chests. Weapons in themselves are fun to use, the customizable magical gauntlet for remote combat artillery more impressive as false or clubs. The game rewards you almost at every turn, whether by filled coffers of complete sets of equipment, or through the portals that appear when you come to the end of a boss and lead you to a bonus level, allowing you to let off steam in three successive waves of enemies with the promise of a nice booty after.
