Living Sacrifice is a Christian heavy metal band that formed in September 1989 in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. The band has released seven studio albums, out of which the first three were recorded under R.E.X. Records with their original vocalist Darren Johnson as a more thrash metal and death metal oriented band. The band evolved into a metalcore style beginning with Reborn (1997) under Solid State Records with the original guitarist Bruce Fitzhugh on vocals. In 2003 the group split up, and later their label, Solidstate, released their best-of album, In Memoriam (2005). In 2008 Living Sacrifice reformed and released a two-song digital only single called "Death Machine". They then began working on The Infinite Order which was released on January 26, 2010.

Living Sacrifice have been legends in the world of underground metal for over 20 years. Their 1991 debut self-titled album forever set in stone their reputation as a cutting edge death metal band, helping bridge the gap between mainstream and underground metal, especially in the Christian rock scene. Former and current members of Living Sacrifice have gone on to play in P.O.D., Evanescence, Demon Hunter, and Norma Jean. The band helped develop the foundation for what Solid State Records would build their entire arsenal of bands upon, including the likes of Underoath, Haste The Day, Demon Hunter, and many others!

Living Sacrifice released The Infinite Order in 2010 to much acclaim, landing at #4 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and #24 on the Billboard Hard Rock Albums Chart. The band will be releasing their next album Ghost Thief on October 29th, 2013. Fans can expect the powerful, thrashy sound that Living Sacrifice have made so iconic. Ghost Thief serves as a powerful reminder of why many heavy music listeners hold Living Sacrifice in such high esteem.
