The Complete Collection is a 6-CD boxset, released in June 2003, on BMG / Arista
label, collecting all of 5 studio albums by British pop / soul singer Lisa Stansfield (whose contract with the major actually expired in 2003), the original track listings of which are enhanced by a number of remixes, rarities, bonus tracks and one previously unreleased song. More in detail, the boxset, in limited edition, collects the first 5 albums by Lisa Stansfield, all of them remastered and in digipak, with 92 tracks totally, including 15 bonus tracks: the single version of "People Hold On", "My Apple Heart", "Lay Me Down" and "Something's Happenin'" from her 1989 debut album Affection; "Whenever You're Gone", "Everything Will Get Better" and the «Frankie Knuckles Remix» of "Change" from her second long playing, Real Love of 1991; "Gonna Try It Anyway", the duet "Dream Away" with U.S. star Babyface, and the «No Preservatives Remix by Roger Sanchez» of the title track of her third album, 2003 So Natural; the «Bootleg Mix» by Dirty Rotten Scoundrels of "People Hold On", "Breathtaking" and "Baby Come Back" from the eponymous fourth work of 1997, Lisa Stansfield; "All Over Me", "Can't Wait to" and "You Get Me" from her fifth album, Face Up, release in 2001, her last studio work for BMG / Arista. These 15 songs did not feature on the related original releases of each album, but were pulled in on the remastered single CD editions, depending upon the various album sessions they were recorded in. The Complete Collection of Lisa Stanfield also includes an exclusive bonus disc, entitled "Live/Rare/Mixed", totally containing 10 more tracks, from Lisa's very first band, Blue Zone, with husband Ian Devaney and school mate Andy Morris, "There Was I", "Dirty Talk" and "The Answer" (this was never released before), the very rare B-sides "Sing It" and "Big Thing", and live recordings of "Tenderly" and of her medley "Live Together/Young Hearts Run Free" (both performed in a concert held by Lisa at Wembley in 1992 Sharing Widget |
