BOOK OF MERCY (1984), a classic book of contemporary psalms, was reissued in 2010. BOOK OF LONGING (2006), a collection of previously unpublished poetry and drawings, was written mostly written at a Zen monastery on Mount Baldy in California, where Cohen lived from 1994 to 1999, and in India, which he visited regularly during the late 1990s.
