You might be looking at it the wrong way, I might be biased.

The movie isn't meant to be a spectacle, nor is it meant to be played by the best actors. It's comedy, a fun story that was produced by a company that doesn't center around profit margins.

I liked it, it gave me good laughs while watched and didn't take itself seriously, and you shouldn't either. Room for improvement? Sure. There are things that could have been changed in the story, like the subplot of the "bugged" solders, but it doesn't matter that much to me because at the end of the day, it was good.
