SINOPSIS / SYNOPSIS



Documental que relata la historia de Isra (Israel Gómez Romero), el niño gitano que, tras la muerte de su padre, ya nunca podrá cantar pese a pertenecer a una tradición de cantaores, y que vive soñando con poder viajar algún día lejos de la Isla en la que nació, y la de Makiko (Makiko Matsumura), que viaja hasta la Isla para tratar de asimilar una tradición y una forma de entender la vida que le son ajenas, y con las que espera poder afrontar las emociones inexpresables que le despierta la enfermedad de su padre. El documental enlaza sutilmente dos retratos entre sí alrededor de la figura del mítico cantaor Camarón de la Isla.



The Legend of Time tells the story of Isra, the young gipsy boy who never sings again after his father´s death, despite belonging to a tradition of Flamenco singers, and who dreams of travelling far from the island on which he was born; and the story of Makiko, who comes to the island to learn more about a tradition and understand a life unfamiliar to her in the hope of being able to deal with the inexpressible emotions aroused by her father´s illness. Two characters whom, although they don´t know it yet, are about to become other people...
