thanks.. works just fine.. for those who are unable to make this work.. remember when you install the update you need MANUALLY browse it to game installation directory, as the installer seems to be installing the update in a wrong directory! and then after update, copy the contents of the SKIDROW folder and paste it in the game installation directory..
