Backups for Windows and Android devices 09.14.2015:



Change log 09.14.2015:



-Changed structure layout for Kodi Library and integrated addons listed as thumbnails.



-Enabled by default recently added movies and tv series.



-Fixed picture database error.



-Optimized advancedsettings.xml for Android devices with 1 gig of ram.



-Added PlayList Loader addons to TV section.



-Removed 8 non working picture and music addons.



-If end user's decide to backup this build later, everything will backup correctly and be restored.



-Improved ram usage in Windows and Android devices.

-All repos and addons updated to date 09.14.2015.Note: If after restore the backup utility fails to install all skin files, ignore it because I manually added them.

The first run of Kodi will require time for all database files and services to boot up and run, this is normal.

Tv section channels might need to be ran a couple times before the m3u server file kicks in, this is normal.



Supported Versions: Vista-Win10/Android(arm)

Next unrar The rar files for each windows and android with the password ForFriends

and follow instruks for how install each pack on windows ore android



Windows Installation:

-Install Kodi (kodi-15.2-Isengard_rc1.exe).

-Turn off auto updates so not to interfere with the restore process.

-Install XBMCBackup utility from included zip file (xbmcbackup.zip).

-Under XBMCBackup program settings choose path folder that the (201509111652) folder is in, select user addons, database files, user addon, thumbnails and config file locations to restore, then save settings.

-Run XBMCBackup addon and choose Restore.

-It might say that some files are not compatible, choose yes to install anyway (due to pulsar having multiple versions).

-Once done restoring, hit control/alt/delete to end task on Kodi.exe to force guisettings.xml restore from the backup.

-Restart Kodi and enjoy the Kodi Ultimate Media Center for Windows.



Note: advancedsettings.xml is set to 0 cache (cache all to hard drive, not the ram).

End user's must install google chrome browser themselves and set path under chrome launcher settings.

End user's must setup dreamcatcher program setting for download path in order for the record button to work.



Android TV Box Installation:

-Format usb as fat32 and copy date and time folder (201509111652), xbmcbackup.zip and kodi-15.2-Isengard_rc1-armeabi-v7a.apk to the root of usb device.

-Make sure to go into Android advanced settings and allow unkown sources to be installed first.

-Install Kodi (kodi-15.2-Isengard_rc1-armeabi-v7a.apk).

-Turn off auto updates so not to interfere with the restore process.

-Install included XBMCBackup utility (xbmcbackup.zip).

-Install XBMCBackup utility from zip file located from the root of the usb device.

-Under XBMCBackup program settings choose path to the root of the usb device, select addons, database files, user addon, thumbnails and config file locations to restore, then save settings.

-Run XBMCBackup addon and choose Restore.

-It might say that some files are not compatible, choose yes to install anyway (due to pulsar having multiple versions).

-Once done restoring, hit home button on Android TV Box remote and goto Setting > More settings > Apps > Kodi > Force close.

-Unmount usb device from Setting > More settings > Storage > USB Device > Unmount USB Device and disconnect it.

-Restart Kodi and enjoy the Kodi Ultimate Media Center for your Android TV Box.Note: advancedsettings.xml is set for 1 gig of ram. If needed, adjust to your liking or remove it completely.
