Killwave's debut LP. The tracks, recorded as a duo, have drawn favorable comparisons to She Wants Revenge, Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk.

Some denizens of the underground radio movement have commented on the band as follows;

"I absolutely love them, I've been playing them quite frequently on the show, think dark Bowie, Gary Numan and you're not even close to how good these guys sound. I love the music, it's like a journey every week they get a little bit darker and a little bit further off the beaten track" - Off The Radar with Phil

"They armed with an electronic, danceable sound that is both retro and futuristic. They combine haunting melodies, chilly analog synths and tremendous hooks with powerful, passionate lyrics." - Pluto Radio

Killwave call to mind such musical luminaries as Joy Division, The Horrors, Gary Numan and TV on the Radio but they are not imitators of any of these. The band brings something all their own to these influences. Despite these comparisons you may hear other analogs in the music--a hint of darkwave, a dash of Brit pop and being from Chicago certainly a smidgen of industrial rock.

The group is made up of George Pinto (vocals), Jim King (guitars & synths), Erik Pedtke (bass) and Bran X (drums).

Chicago's Killwave is poised to release their latest, Death by Distortion. The band mixes post-punk with electronic dance. The band is playing a record release show Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Hideout ( 1354 W Wabansia Ave, Chicago).
