Travolta and DeNiro both did a great job with their characters. I've seen derisive comments about Travolta's accent but in my opinion they are unfounded. The film had a nice feel to it along with an interesting story about how people deal with the emotional scars left from war. Using the Serb/Bosnian conflict was a nice touch as it was one of the worst stains on humanity in the past 25 years. The setting and cinematography were beautiful.
