Run KAV Setup

Follow onscreen instructions

Goto Setting in KAV

Click the Manage Settings Link (near bottom Right of app)

(see Settings Import image in Activation Instructions folder)

Import enable.cfg in the Config File Folder

**NOTE THIS CONFIG HAS PASSWORD: 0000 **

Numeric 0's

(unfortunatly for this solution to work we need it set as that)


Disable Self-defense in Kaspersky Settings

Right Click Tray Pause Protection Until Restart

Open Windows Explorer

Goto c:windowssystem32driversetc

Backup your Hosts file (make 2 Copys name them hosts.bak + hosts.orig)

Open hosts.bak & the Hosts file

Add line to Bottom of each file

127.0.0.1 activation-v2.kaspersky.com

Save

Now Kaspersky Could Produce a Few Problem Alerts

See Possible Problems Folder

Do not Disinfect when the Alert Saying HOSTS File is Infected

Exit

open your HOSTS File in another NotePad Window

check it has not been modified by kaspersky (Compare to your backup) (Also See Possible Problems folder images)

Either copy & Paste the Hosts.bak (with Added line mentioned above)

or delete the hosts file & rename hosts.bak to hosts

Now goto The 3 years Licenses Folder

Choose any of the 3 Different License Folders (number 3 is the License shown in Proof Folder)

Double click the .REG File and Merge into the registry

if double click does not work:

Right Click & Select merge

When Done

Start Kaspersky

****FIX UPDATE PROBLEMS & LICENSE BLOCKS****

Simply run:

DANHUK_KAVUPD.exe (AS ADMIN)

(found in update solution folder)

You will need to press any key to continue when prompted

This will happen after each step of configuring KAV

When done you will have retained Activation & been Updated

You just need to run my updater program everytime you want to update

Updates will be set to manual now.


NOTE:

When you have got it fully configured:

Export Settings Fully Protected as Enable.cfg

Simply Replace the file of that name in folder:

c:DANHUK_KAVUPD

Now you will keep it upto date with your settings

(you can still run my updater app with your config file in that folder its set to skip those files)
