Firstly, this event is called "snowstorm is ruthless but Kaspersky is not". What they are doing is that Kaspersky is giving out (KAV-7)
1-year-Keys to all Chinese for free. I suppose you've already known that the recent snowstom had caused a serious disaster in south China.
Kaspersky is holding this event as a donation to this disaster. (very good marketing strategy isn't it?)

Then put your nick....
Password....
Pass again...(make sure that password strength meter turns GREEN...

If anyone doesn't get this to work (while the forum is giving out free keys) then you didn't read Step_by_step_instruction.pdf that comes with the installer.

Sure, it's not in a language most of us knows, but if you are REALLY in a bind, use babel.altavista.com and convert from chinese to your language. Its a non-English freebie give away. Non-American countries (especially in other languages) do things like this often. (Wasp Dye Kit in Hellgate:London anyone?)

Works like a charm.

I wanted to check a torrent with the KasperSky engine that I created (someone said it was infected and detected) and I must admit, having this makes it nice.

As per if either finds anything in what I'm scanning, third party reports show AVG is marginally better at finding trojans, but KasperSky is marginally better at finding virii.

AVG has lot of false alarms!!!
He is jumping on everything..I dont like him,too many false alarms..that is why I dont upload keygens..AVG IN EVERYONE IS zooming some trojans!!
DO A TEST..deinstall KAV or NOD,INSTALL AVG and just look..if you download some keygens he is gonna jump on everysingle one of them.
So AVG=BIG FALSE ALARM.

But Kav and Nod..mmm..

If you are worried about the versions that are installed from the torrent, just download the copy from KasperSky and use it. Its the same thing. You MUST use the old version of the klif drivers.

This is a known issue with KasperSky, which WILL cause lockups, including at boot. (Some make it past boot, by about 20 minutes, but all lock up) IF you have a 64 bit processor. (Regardless of OS). Some 32 bit processors are affected as well. This information obtained from Kaspersky's forums.

For a real kick, check out the internet news about KasperSky killing itself in an update.

The beta version in testing, v .402 is testing a correction for the driver. When the new version comes out, then update accordingly.

Again, if worried, just download the versions of this from KasperSky directly. (Use the default ones from the fresh installed client, not an update)! You'll still need the torrent for the Step_by_step_instructions to get the free 1 year license. But if its installed, this is the fix.

Thorough testing done on most major engines, by a third party. With all results and everything so you can see what they do. Its the TomsHardware of AV's.

But..ufff..my brain is in pain from this Kaspersky...I am uploading this torrent for 5-th time..and writting,copying,past,copy,paste,writte..just want all people to get keys(FOR FREE)..and to see this torrent...at the right time to snach the key.

If ANYONE thinks this is fake, when you get the instructions, copy the url and paste it into babel.altavista.com's handy web page converter and use it.

As per the "crash after update" read my previous comment. There is a known issue with KasperSky on update, which I cover on how to fix.

You CAN use gmail accounts, so sign up and get yours while you can!
