Robbery Of Vibrations Enchantingly beautiful East meets West, June 19, 2003 Reviewer: Jonah Anderson "east sider" (Milwaukee, WI United States) - See all my reviews The album Prana by Karma Surta is a refreshing and melodically enchanting blend of Indian Music across electronic trance of base n drums. Mona Jethmalani's sensuous voice against the backdrop of sitars mixed with electrotrance create an ambiance quite unlike any heard before. Fans of Enigma will particularily like this cd as it is similar but different to the musical stylings of Michele Cretu. All of the songs flow alternating from fast to slow melodic to harmonious. Pick up this cd and prepare for a sensory journey unlike any you've taken See this act live, they will light you up..., September 2, 2002 Reviewer: Indigo (Chicago, IL United States) - See all my reviews If you're ever in the Chicago area, make a point to see Karma Sutra (or Preston Klik wherever he is playing). This is purely enjoyable talent for anyone who likes to dance, young or old. PRANA a breath of fresh air in world/electronic music, October 9, 2001 Reviewer: A music fan Prana stands out from the typical world music offering because it has a tight electronic background supplemented with Traditional percussion and instruments. It has a really interesting Indian influence, and Mona's voice is breathtaking. There isn't really a bad track on the CD, but Prana and Bhagwan are my favorites. This CD would appeal to fans of Dead Can Dance, Jane Siberry, Sheila Chandra, Ofra Haza, Natacha Atlas, or any of Preston Klik's bands. Sharing Widget |
