Noto anche come “Journey to the Far Side of the Sun”, questo è lo strano film di Jerry e Sylvia Anderson. Un momento
speciale, perchè getta le basi per quel salto nella live-action che porterà i due produttori inglesi a realizzare
una serie cult come UFO (zeppa infatti di props recuperati da questo film). Sottolineo la presenza di Roy Thinnes,
già noto ai fans della vintage scifi per essere stato David Vincent nell’altra serie cult The Invaders. Alla fine
questo Doppelgänger resta un film troppo sconosciuto e sottovalutato per poterne parlare con qualcuno.
Capolavoro per pochi intimi.


A previously unknown planet is discovered within our solar system, orbiting on the far side of the sun exactly
opposite the position of the Earth, and at precisely the same speed. The European space agency Eurosec, headed
by Jason Webb (Patrick Wymark), whose solar probe made the discovery, decides to send a manned mission to
investigate, teaming America's top astronaut Glenn Ross (Roy Thinnes) and British astro-physicist John Kane
