BOOK 1: No one wants to be at John Paul 2 High. George would rather be wrestling at a big high school. Liz would rather be anywhere else, period. Brian was homeschooled. J.P. just wants to have fun. So when a friend invites her to worship at her evangelical church, Allie goes along for the ride: and finds healing. Plus a new love interest: Keenan Clearwater, lead singer of the worship band Forgyvyn. Suddenly Catholicism is seeming a bad fit for Allie: the standards are too high, she’s not clicking with the new crop of JP2HS kids and their strict parents, and her new church just seems much more – fulfilling. Holy Ghost! Meanwhile, students return to give the John Paul 2 High building a summer makeover – only to find that the Poltergeist has returned as well - and this time with more dangerous pranks. Hardworking former homeschooler Brian Burke, with his friends Liz and J.P, are determined to catch the "ghost" once and for all...except that all the evidence seems to point to...Allie?

BOOK 4: So you've just been sent on Mission Impossible: to get the most beautiful girl in your school to come back to the Catholic Church. Brian goes to Bible Camp undercover to rescue Allie, but it seems like a lost cause. Allie seems to be getting on just fine: helping her new Christian friends love God, and dating the camp's hot worship leader. But inside, Allie still feels lost, and wonders if she's really changed. Between figuring out how girls work and defending his faith against zealous fellow campers, Brian starts to realize that if he wants to help Allie, maybe he's the one who needs to change...

BOOK 5: School's back in session at John Paul 2 High, and for students J.P. and Liz, not much could be worse. The little start-up school where both their moms teach has doubled its number of students, bringing in a gaggle of clueless freshmen, singing charismatics, and annoying personages. For Liz, the major annoyance is Mary Summers, her old rival for Brian's affection. For J.P., it's a Byzantine Catholic named Athanasius Courchraine who somehow manages to be even cooler than J.P. With Celia pushing the gag-inducing idea of creating a Catholic "community" in the midst of formal education, both kids escape to a place where religion is off the table-- Sparrow Hills High. Then, as Liz joins the cheer team and J.P. becomes the school mascot, they start hearing rumors about the school shooting that happened at Sparrow Hills last spring. The police say the shooter is dead... but is he? Unable to resist a challenge, Liz and J.P. get on the case. But the more they investigate the hazier the police evidence seems. And if the Sparrow Hills Shooter is still out there, no one is safe...
