if anything, the audio is VERY low for all the fallon torrents in general, wonder why that is...
The late night talk shows are broadcast to most peoples homes in AC3 sound. From my cable provider Fallon's show (Like Letterman's) is 6 track AC3. Some of the musical parts of the show are very loud, while the plain talking is much lower. So when you run a filter to maximize the volume it will only go as high as it can without clipping. Which in some shows is not very much. It might take only 1 or 2 db to max out the music part, but that would be the total volume increase for the whole show. For this particular episode I used handbrake and just manually sent the gain to 2db. Even watching the original broadcast on cable TV, I find myself turning it up and down during different parts.
I truly appreciate your time and effort
Personally I don't have any problem with MKV file format in fact I prefer it among other formats
-MKV is a flexible, open standard video file format that has quickly become the preferred file extension for high definition video on the Internet. The MKV container can include video, audio, and features such as alternate audio tracks, multilingual subtitles and chapter points, as well as rich metadata including cover art, ratings, descriptions and more. MKV offers a richer media experience than any other current format
The main difference between different containers is not only the codecs they support but what other features they support—like subtitles or chapters. These days, MKV is an extremely popular container, mainly because it supports nearly any video codec under the sun, as well as a ton of extra features (plus it's open source)
