This was recorded from VHS, as evident to the "Play Hi-Fi SP" upper-left overlay that can be seen on some of the videos. Excellent show, poor quality RIP. What makes it worse is that the original video is 16:9 - shrunk (not cropped) into 4:3, which means that there is a large black boarder around all sides of the image.
