Description

Johann Christoph Pez, of whom no portrait survives, was accounted one of the greatest composers of his day by Telemann. He was strongly influenced by Corelli, with whom he studied, and was eagerly sought as a kapellmeister in Wurttemberg, Munich, and Bonn. He was regarded as among the most stylistically forward and adventurous musicians of his time in the German States.
