I also have noticed this as well with the version, and works perfectly to my knowledge.
did a virus scan and came up clean.
I did also find that just installing the main product did not require a patch or the registry values to be entered. This may have been linked to my previous version, so i added the patch files anyway and restarted the PC.
I then loaded the IDM.exe to see if it would give me any errors, which it did not.
this file then was the correct version and was not asking me for the update to current version.
