TRAMA:

Protagonista di Inside Out è la giovane Riley che, costretta a trasferirsi con la famiglia in una nuova città, deve fare i conti anche con le emozioni che convivono nel centro di controllo della sua mente e guidano la sua quotidianità, e che non sono d’accordo su come affrontare la vita in una nuova città, in una nuova casa e in una nuova scuola. Gioia è il motore del gruppo e mantiene tutti attivi e felici; cerca sempre di vedere il lato positivo delle cose. Paura è una sorta d'impiegato perennemente stressato: ha sempre paura di perdere il suo lavoro ma, poiché lui è il suo lavoro, questo non accadrà mai. Rabbia è arrabbiato: sa che i membri del gruppo hanno buone intenzioni e fanno del loro meglio ma, a differenza sua, non sanno come funzionano le cose. Quando è troppo esasperato, la sua testa prende fuoco. Disgusto è molto protettiva nei confronti di Riley; ha delle aspettative alte verso il prossimo ed è poco paziente. Tristezza è divertente, anche nel suo essere triste: è intelligente e sempre previdente ma rappresenta una vera e propria sfida per Gioia.

STORYLINE:

Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it's no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions - Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness. The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley's mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley's main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.
